Idea Napkin No. 2
1.) You.
I am an Asian American and this is important because low nose bridges are most prominent in the Asian community. Of course this feature is not only exclusive to the Asian community, so through my business idea, I will be representing those who also relate to having a low nose bridge. I understand this need greatly and so I want to create a change that will help others with this need as well. Since I will be able to relate to my customers on this need, I will use my communication skills to be able to build a relationship with my customers so that they will buy my product. In return, I will make sure to build their trust and provide them with the best service and products.
2.) What are you offering to customers?
I am offering eyewear that will fit on those who have lower nose bridges. There is always an issue with how eyewear fits on lower nose bridges, such as the glasses frame sitting on our cheeks or the part on the eyewear where it is supposed to sit on our nose bridge does not sit on our nose bridge at all. Because most of the eyewear does not fit on lower nose bridges, it becomes undesirable and it discourages those who have this specific feature.
3.) Who are you offering it to?
I am offering my product to those who have lower nose bridges. These are the people who have a harder time finding eyewear that fit on their face properly while also looking fashionable. All my customers would need to have this specific need and having a lower nose bridge is what they will all have in common.
4.) Why do they care?
I believe customers will pay me money to use my product because I understand this is a need for a lot of people that having to look for eyewear that will fit and look good can be really difficult. If they had a place that they can find all kinds of different eyewear styles that can also fit on their face well, not only would it be more convenient for them, it will not cost them any more money than what they would normally pay for eyewear.
5.) What are your core competencies?
My core competency is that I can be personable with my customers since I also have this need to have nice-fitting eyewear. What sets me apart from everyone else is that I would be one of the few eyewear brands that would provide a fit for those who have lower nose bridges. I wouldn't make it super expensive and I would have it so that everyone with this need can feel as though they are being recognized. I would also have a service where we will customize the glasses to your liking in store so that if there was a need for any further adjustments, then I will make sure that it is met completely. I want to do this so that I can know the public's immediate feedback and improve and grow my business based on their feedbacks.
I believe there are aspects to my business concept that I feel can offer more unique experiences to customers. I do not think that as of right now, I would be able to stand out from the rest of the eyewear market or to make my product more desirable compared to the more well known brands. But I do believe that since I am someone who has this need as well, that I would be able to best connect with my customers and provide them with service that exceeds their expectations.
Majority of the feedback that I had received was about how it was great that I was able to relate back to the customers because I also have a low nose bridge and that this would be my biggest strength when it comes to developing this business idea into a reality. One feedback I received was one that could be a potential customer because she also had this need of finding eyewear that fits right. For this Idea Napkin, I made sure to highlight the points that I could make strong customer relations because I could relate to them, which in turn can bring me more business.
Hi Mia,
ReplyDeletePersonally, I don't wear glasses, but I understand the problem and I believe there is a market for your product. I know that when I wear glasses, some are very uncomfortable on my face so I don't really like to borrow other people's sunglasses even if I could use them because of the discomfort. It's because I broke my nose when I was little and now the bridge of my nose is kind of awkwardly shaped. I also appreciate how inclusive your product is, which is something any investor can get behind. Well done!
Hi Mia,
ReplyDeleteI would just like to say that I would definitely be interested in your product, because I have a low bridge nose as well. As someone who fits this category I would say that I would be willing to pay x amount to find glasses that would fit properly. With that being said I really enjoyed your business idea and you did a great job with your post!
Hi Mia,
ReplyDeleteYour business is offering something specialized and custom that many people would love. Glasses are essential and worn every day, so people would make sure to use your product and be comfortable, rather than keep wearing the old standardized model. I also agree that shopping for eyewear that looks good can be difficult, so you offering different styles would attract even more people to try the new frames.
