Create a Customer Avatar


My prototypical customer is literally anyone who would have a low nose bridge and have trouble finding eye wear that fits them right. This could be a young child who had just discovered that they need to wear glasses because they have bad eyesight; or this could be an older person who always had trouble finding the right fit for their sunglasses that they need to wear everyday. I would have such a wide range of customers and I want to make sure that I try my best to accommodate most of them. I do imagine that a lot of my customers will be of the asian race because this low nose bridge feature is quite prominent with them. You will see that some eyewear brands will have an "Asian Fit" for those who have lower nose bridges, but they cost a lot more than the market price of the normal fitted eyewear. What I have in common with my customers would be that I, myself have a low nose bridge. I find that many people around me also have this problem in having to find right fitting eyewear and when they have to settle on a product, they would constantly have to slide their eyewear up on their nose. Since I am able to sympathize with this problem, I wanted to make sure that i created a product that will make them feel like they are being thought of and they feel comfortable looking for eyewear.

    Your avatar nailed your prototypical customer. You have a lovely young lady with a very small nose bridge showing a slight look of worry in her eyes behind her glasses. She wants to hope that your product will alleviate her problem of constant glass slippage down her nose. She has been through so many different products at this point in her life that she just hopes that this one really works!

Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No.2

Begin with alternative evaluation.  My business idea is to start a company that provides eye wear for those who have lower nose bridges and have a hard time finding good fitting eye wear in the market right now. For my customers, I believe that when they are looking for the perfect eye wear for them, they consider the style of the eye wear as important. I believe so because even if the eye wear is reasonably priced, but they do not like how it looks on them, they will not buy the product. Since this will be something that will be worn out where others can see, the style will have to be perfect for the customer to be confident in what they are wearing. I read How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big  by Scott Adams . 1) What was the general theme or argument of the book? The general theme of the book is that one cannot be discouraged after failing. Scott Adams had failed in so much in his life that he wrote a book all about it, yet he was still able to succeed in something that he grew a lot of passion for and he probably doesn't regret the route that he took to get there.
